Writing as medium and framework

Writing runs alongside our painting, sculpture and installation. Some texts stand on their own as a medium; others set the framework from which physical works take shape. In both cases the page is a place to test what a work can hold.

Making together means questioning artistic production itself. We ask how a work is authored when neither of us holds sole control, and what individuality and ownership mean once a practice is shared across Malmö and Rome. Distance between the two cities becomes an active editorial pause, a stretch of time in which each text is written, read back and returned to the other.

Position

Collective creation requires letting go of individual control and singular authorship.— Fanny Köhler and Felix Christiansson
